Popular Nigerian musician Peter Okoye, half of P-Square, has spoken out on claims made by his twin brother Paul Okoye that he was complicit in his brother’s arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a long statement that he shared on his Instagram page, Peter Okoye refuted ever filing a complaint against his brother with the EFCC. He claimed that his whole attention was on their older brother Jude Okoye and his spouse Ifeoma, who were discovered to be running a covert business called Northside Music.
Furthermore, he mentioned that they were taking millions of dollars and hundreds of millions of naira out of Northside Entertainment, their management business. Peter Okoye also claimed that he had found the covert organization.
Paul Okoye repeatedly denied knowing about it when he was confronted about it. Furthermore, Jude Okoye was detained as a result of Peter taking the case to the EFCC. This came about after it was discovered that he had been receiving royalties from P-Square for years and transferring the funds to his own account. Peter Okoye, meanwhile, underlined that the petition never contained Paul Okoye’s name. His invitation was limited to inquiry.
Along with them were other individuals who transacted business with Jude’s covert enterprise. He also disclosed Jude’s admission of mailing Paul Okoye money. But Jude insisted it was a loan paid back from the sale of their American home.years, receiving royalties from P-Square and moving the funds to his personal account.
Nevertheless, Paul Okoye made this accusation in an interview with City FM weeks prior, claiming that Peter Okoye was responsible for Jude and him being detained by the EFCC.
Finally, the ongoing conflict between the brothers and their previous manager has been further illuminated by Peter Okoye’s denial and revelations.
